Mass shootings are more frequent and deadlier than ever. As a community leader, your daily work may be threatened by the precarious possibility of an event of mass violence. This is why Recognize & Rise, in collaboration with United Way’s One Second Collaborative and One Safe Place, is hosting a vital conversation on how to interrupt the epidemic of mass violence on Wednesday, March 1.
Featuring Dr. Peterson and Dr. Densley, renowned researchers and authors of The Violence Project, we will learn about the road to mass violence and how to prevent it. Rather than focusing on a single solution, a comprehensive systemic approach that examines and responds to root causes at the individual, institutional, and societal level is essential.
